Return of the Mack was released in 1996, when I was 10. I used to love it for one reason only: it was the first single I ever owned on CD. I didn’t even buy the CD because I liked the song, it was purely for the excitement of the new (to me) technology. If I remember correctly, I bought the disc at a bring and buy sale at my primary school (probably for about 10p), and it had the original single, plus loads of remixes. I used to listen to it on repeat, just because I could. Saying it now, it sounds really tragic!
